Why: Out of Christian love we desire to help our brothers and sisters in Chanute with minor home repair, yard work and painting.

Donations Needed: Please help us decorate for this year's vacation bible school by donating or loaning anything that can be seen in the sky. We would like to have colorful kites, hot air balloons, toy airplanes, birds, clouds, and anything else you may have that would be seen in the sky. We could use cardboard cut-outs or 3D items.
Camp Chippewa is a United Methodist Camp and Retreat Center whose mission is to provide an atmosphere in a simple outdoor setting where individuals can:
Experience the presence of God in nature;
Form a relationship with Jesus Christ and others;
Nurture one's journey as a disciple of our Lord and Savior;
Experience spiritual and personal growth and renewal;
Serve non-profit groups for the betterment of God's world.

Cherry Street is a faith-based afterschool program that shares the love of God with over 120 elementary-aged children. They are provided with a safe, fun place to go after school and are offered a wide variety of learning experiences and opportunities. Classes include Bible, art, reading, music, gardening, character, and physical activities. Cherry Street is an Ecumenical Ministry formed to help develop children emotionally, spiritually, physically, and academically in the community.
The FireEscape Coffeehouse Youth Ministry was started in 1998 to provide a safe and fun environment for high school and college age youth in Chanute and Southeast Kansas. They are staffed by volunteers and recently hired a Director of Programming and Outreach, Gaylen Lawrence. The FireEscape is supported by donations and fundraising. The FireEscape Coffeehouse is located at 126 W Main Street and boasts a full coffee bar and concert venue as well as a Christian radio station 93.1 KFEX. They have hosted over 150 musical and youth events.
Faith House is a five bedroom two bath home that temporarily houses the homeless in the Neosho, Allen, Wilson, Labette, Montgomery & Woodson counties. They also provide programs to help those who are willing to help themselves. Individuals as well as families my stay at the shelter and will receive services in order to get back on their feet.
